Gold Rush Dining Room

Gold Rush Dining Room

Ward House

DESIGN CHALLENGES ADDRESSED:

This client was seeking an elegant dining room, and wanted blue to coordinate with some other spaces in her home. She didn't know what shade or which direction to go. This is the first room that you see when you enter the home so she wanted to make a statement.

DESIGN SOLUTIONS PROVIDED:

We discussed the option of blue but I also told her that I would bring her a neutral option as well. Lighting was needing along with everything else to complete the room. What I loved was that when I asked her if she was open to wallpaper she shook her head and said no!! She did not want wallpaper, I’m guessing because of its dated stigma. My eyes lit up because I knew she must not have seen “new” wallpaper! On design presentation day she fell in love with the wallpaper and loved the elegance provided in the neutral version of the room. She now says that although the room was expensive it was worth it because it’s her favorite room in her home.
